Blog

This blog tells about the updates Angela makes.

It features her art but talks a bit about others, etc. as well. This does not happen in every post!

Angela is not shy in speaking up about others who have inspired her, etc.

This blog is to help create awareness of LGBTQ rights, etc. but first speaks up for Women in the arts.

However please note that if you have any political issues, etc. contact those in charge of them. This blog is mainly about art.

Thank you for understanding and Namaste

Smoothie, camera, studio!

Hey you guys!

I hope that you had a wonderful weekend!

I’m going to be talking about a few things today!!

I want to start off with a new collage that I made of a smoothie.

Yes! I’ve started back on smoothies. I don’t have them everyday but I do have them once and awhile.

Somedays are just too cold for smoothies but as I’m sure you know cold helps in alot of ways.

That’s pobably why so many people take cold showers and baths.

I’m just not THAT strong. I tried one cold shower and thought NOPE NOT FOR ME! I never did it that again.

Laughs

Here is the collage that I made to share one of my smoothies!

If you would like to try it, I mixed the following:

  1. 1 Cup frozen fruit

  2. 1 tbsp flax seeds

  3. 1 tbsp hemp seeds

  4. 1 tbsp chia seeds

  5. 1 tbsp sesame seeds

  6. 2 Cups coconut water

In my last post I talked a bit about my studio, etc.

Well, I’m still working on my studio but I’ve also been fixing all of my USBs because they all had a virus on them.

Luckily, I know how to transfer files, so I’ve been working on that. I might not know EVERYTHING about computers but some things REALLY can’t stop me. While doing that, I ran across some older works that I wanted to share.

This is a collage that I made years ago. I don’t even remember when but it’s of a small camera that my mother had. It’s broken but I kept it for three reasons.

One I LOVE cameras and two I LOVE anything that’s small. Lastly, it was my mothers!

Is this cute or what!?!

Moving on, I wanted to share a couple collages of my studio. I know that I talked a bit about it in my last post, so I figured why not!?

It kinda blew my mind to see how things have changed and to know that I did it.

This took a year on my own. The first one shows when I first started it and the second collage shows after.

This shows when I started and the first layer. Artist: Angela Taylor Inspired by: Musicals Into The Woods and The Secret Garden

After learning about Akhenaten and Queen Nefertiti I’ve become a bit obsessed. If you can call it that. It’s just very interesting to me how they pretty much did the same thing that I’ve done.

Every leaf that I painted represents someone in my life. Even those I did not have the pleasure of meeting, yet inspired me. They are leaves on my wall. If you’ve inspired me or helped me in anyway, you are a leaf on my wall.

The great thing is, I did not title each leaf, so those who I do not wish to have any contact with, exs, etc. are nowhere to be found!

My doors are flowers to represent the children in my life who grew up. Every petal represents a day, week, month, year of their life. I’ve painted a flower in memory of Connie Wingard, who was always very kind to me. She is the only one who has anything painted on my wall specially made in their memory.

Every symbol, etc. they had painted in Egypt usually represented something too.

That’s just REALLY REALLY cool to me. I would say that it’s spooky but it’s actually rather comforting.

I can’t wait to get back to art and to share it with you all!
